INR18650-M30A — specification and pack integration
A 3,000 mAh 18650 built for runtime rather than burst current: 10 A maximum discharge and 2.5-hour standard charge suit packs that draw steadily instead of in peaks.
What the numbers mean for a pack
- 3,000 mAh typical in a 18650 can, at 3.6 V nominal
- 10 A discharge ceiling — the pack design must hold the cell inside its temperature cut-off to use it
- 3.0 A maximum charge current sets the fastest realistic turnaround
- 632 Wh/L · 234 Wh/kg
- AC 21 mΩ (1 kHz, typ.) — the figure that decides voltage sag under load
Where it is used
- Medical and instrumentation packs — steady drains where cycle count matters more than peak current
- Portable power banks and backup modules — 10.8 Wh per cell keeps parallel counts reasonable
- Light-duty mobility packs — scooters and e-bikes with moderate controller limits
Integration notes
Charge CC-CV to 4.2 V within the current limits above and stop discharge at 2.5 V. These are unprotected industrial cells: a BMS or protection circuit is required, interconnects must be resistance or laser welded rather than soldered, and cells of different model, batch or state of charge must not be mixed in one pack. Charging below 0 °C is not permitted unless the pack implements a low-temperature charge strategy.
