Battery Packs

Assembled packs built on the cells above, with BMS, interconnects and housing specified per application.

Pack assembly is quoted against a duty profile rather than listed as catalogue lines. The configuration that decides whether a pack works — series and parallel count, interconnect, protection set and mechanical envelope — changes with the application, so nothing is published here as a stock item.

What a pack build has to settle

Cell model and grade, series and parallel count, the interconnect method and its weld schedule, the protection set carried by the BMS, and the mechanical envelope with its thermal path. Two of those wrong and the pack either cannot deliver the peak current or cannot hold its cycle-life target.

Matching happens before welding

Cells that share a series string are matched on capacity, internal resistance and open-circuit voltage first. A string built from unmatched cells drifts: the weakest cell reaches the low-voltage cut-off first, the BMS trips, and the pack reads as failed while most of its capacity is still usable.

Certification follows the end use

Portable packs are assessed to IEC 62133-2 and stationary or industrial packs to IEC 62619. Which one applies is decided by where the pack ends up, not by the cell inside it.

What we need to quote it

  • Pack voltage and capacity
  • Continuous and peak current, with the duty cycle
  • Charge method, maximum charge current, target charge time
  • Operating and storage temperature range
  • Mechanical envelope and mounting
  • Target certification and destination market
